[b]"CAHOON, KATHLEEN "KATE" - age 80 of Dandridge passed away Friday afternoon, June 26, 2009. She was born, Dec. 17, 1928 in Ames, Iowa the
daughter of the late Arthur G. and Pansy Chapman. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and was of the Episcopalian faith. Kate will be remembered for
her wit and wisdom and a person who truly enjoyed her family as she was a great homemaker and excellent cook. An avid reader she also logged many hours on the
computer as a moderator for the online chat for the soap operas, "Guiding Light" and "General Hospital". She was also passionate about her
love for animals by her dedicated tireless support and contributions to many organizations such as the Elephant Sanctuary and Noah's Arc, animal rescue
missions. She is survived by her husband, Bill Cahoon; children, Bill, Bob, Carol and Bryan; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A private memorial
service celebrating her life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made "In Memory of Kate Cahoon" to Noah's Arc, P.O. Box 1031,
