Jeffrey has brought Reva outside to a surprise picnic. He has her blindfolded and asks, Ready, here we go.......he takes off the blindfold to show her his picnic he set up, with a blanket and umbrella for shade. He says, Tada....She is surprised and touched and says, Oh, Jeffrey! He says, pretty good, huh? She says, Yep, pretty good.......pretty good, as she sits and he gives her a light chuckle. He sits and takes off his suitcoat and says, I just want to show you, that it doesn't have to be Figi, or Hawaii, or Siberia for it to be spontaneous and fun......with us, it's always gonna be.....fun! She is smiling at him and holds the pink rose up to inhale it saying, Spontaneous is good. He pours her a drink of something and agrees, saying, Yeah. She says, I mean, it is who we are, right? Free and easy, no complications? Jeffrey says, Well that's the way you wanted it, right? Reva says, Yeah, yeah, you? Jeffrey says, Sure. (They are both trying to convince themselves it seems) Reva kind of looks off in the direction behind him and he turns around and sees a mother with her young little girl. They both look at them kind of wistful and then Jeffrey turns around to Reva and sighs, and raises his glass, saying, to us! Reva gives him a half smile and toasts him, saying, to us..........

Reva is now with Billy at Company. (Gee, such a nice long romantic picnic...) Reva is looking at a magazine, "Modern Mom" She is sad and crying as she looks at it. Billy comes in. He hands her a hanky and she takes it and says, If you're here to lecture me again, you can keep your damn hanky........She stops being overwhelmed with tears. Billy says, Well, it wouldn't do any good. Billy says, You wanna keep the baby, don't you? Reva wipes her tears and nose and says, I know how you feel. It's not worth the risk. I have to go off my meds, which would be just begging the cancer to come back. Billy says, Since when do you listen to me? Reva says, No offense, I don't listen to anybody. Billy says, But you know I would fight anybody or anything, including that baby just so you don't disappear, so yeah, I guess that makes me a little selfish. Reva is crying and says, I don't know what to do. Billy says, Yeah, I think you do. Reva says through her tears, I am a risk-taker, but I can't see six months ahead, all I can see is that baby. She holds her head in frustration and says, But you were right, there's a whole hell of alot more going on here. She wipes her tears. Billy asks, Well, what about Jeffrey, what does he want? Reva says, I can't do it. It's just not right to make him go through this. She gives Billy a sad, concerned look........

Jeffrey is outside on a park bench. He's working talking into a tape recorder. Olivia comes up and she says, Hi.(Olivia is sporting a new haircut. LOOKS FAB) He says, Hi. He finishes up talking into his recorder and stands up and says to her, Hi, just um....staying busy. Olivia says, Really, cause I thought that you and Reva were leaving on your big honeymoon? Jeffrey says, Yeah, well, um.......something came up, plans change. Olivia shrugs off him not going away and she changes the subject and says, I went to see Ava. Jeffrey asks, Oh yeah, how's she doing? How's that new treatment? Olivia says, Uh.......it's too soon to tell and the doctor says, there's a long road ahead of her, but you know her, she feels the slightest bit better and she just wants to get out of bed. Jeffrey says in sadness, You know, I'll go down there, and I'll personally straighten her out. He starts talking, seeming distracted and says,........it's just you know......I can't let her risk her life......He puts his hand up over his brow in frustration (Awwww, nice shot of his new wedding ring there) He goes on saying, ..........And I can't do it, just because I want something, you know? Olivia is confused at his sad, distracted tone. She asks, Are you okay? Jeffrey says, Yeah. It's just this fatherhood stuff, it's still new to me, and um......you know, it's probably good I wasn't around when Ava was born, cause I probably would have made all the wrong decisions, some guys just aren't cut out for it. Olivia is shaking her head and says, Jeffrey, I told you just the other day, you were a good father. Jeffrey pauses and looks at her with a serious face and asks, You think so? Olivia says, I really think so. He just gives her a half nod and she asks, What's going on? Is Reva pregnant? She says it in a joking manner. Jeffrey tries to tell her saying, Olivia.........She says, I'm kidding. Then she changes her expression to a serious one realizing it's true. She asks, Is she..........Jeffrey says, Yeah. Olivia is shocked and says, Wow. How? Jeffrey says, I could show you all the stuff the doctor showed us, but you know what, it's just.........with her cancer, it's just so risky, it's just.......it doesn't matter.......doesn't matter. His voice is full of sadness and frustration. Olivia says, Wait a minute, no, it doesn't matter?.......You.....she pauses and says, You're gonna be a daddy again. Jeffrey says, No, no, I'm not, because this is not good for Reva, so it's not good for us. Olivia says, I think that's just the most, loving, generous, self-sacrificing thing I've ever heard. I also think it's alot of crap! Jeffrey just gives her a concerned look........

Reva is at home and she's looking at wedding pictures of she and Jeffrey. She gives a slight chuckle of one of them at the weiner wagon. Her phone rings. It's her doctor and she says, Oh, hi doc.........she is still leafing through the pictures of them........she says, No, I haven't made my follow up appointment yet......my husband and I have been......No, I do realize it.......it can't wait......She seems sad and distracted........She says, I'll.......I'll get back to you........thanks. She hangs up looking concerned. She picks up a picture of the two of them laughing at their wedding...........

Olivia is still with Jeffrey asks, Just tell me, do you want the kid or don't you? Jeffrey says, It's not up to me. Olivia says, Well last time I heard, it takes two people to make a baby, or at least one half of the equation. Jeffrey says, I don't think you understand the risks for Reva, here, okay? If she goes off that medication, the cancer could come right back, I could lose both her and the baby. Olivia says, Alright, I understand, what does Reva say? Jeffrey says, It's what she doesn't say. Olivia says, Maybe she's waiting for you to say something. Jeffrey raises his voice saying, I wanna be a father, okay, I want to be a father! I do......Olivia asks, you do? Jeffrey says, Yes, I do. I know it surprises me as much as anybody and not just like I am with Ava, although that's wonderful, but from the beginning, I want all of it. Olivia says, Okay, tell her! Jeffrey says, That wouldn't be fair to put that all on her. Olivia says, Forget fair! This is a marriage! You tell her! Jeffrey's phone rings and he sees it is Reva and says, Speak of the devil......Olivia whispers, Tell her!......He says in concern, Hi Reva, are you okay? Reva says, Yeah, yeah, everything's great. You? Jeffrey says, Yeah, um......you know, busy. Reva says, Yeah, I know, me too. Life...... (They are both dancing around this, and avoiding talking about it) Jeffrey says, Yeah, yeah, uh......You can say that again. Reva says, So um........I got a call from the doctor and he needs us to make a decision.......today. Jeffrey just gives a concered look as he holds the phone in his hand..........

Reva asks as she is still on the phone with Jeffrey, Jeffrey are you still there? He pauses and says in concern and hesitation, Yeah. Olivia is looking at him kind of urging him to tell Reva how he feels.........Reva says, So, I told the doctor that we talked it all through. Jeffrey puts down his stuff and says, Boy, have we! Reva says, There's really nothing more to say, is there? (She's wanting him to give her a sign or say something more) Jeffrey says, Right. Unless there's something that you.......wanna talk about? (He's hesitating too hoping to hear something from her) Reva asks, Me? Jeffrey says, Reva, you can tell me anything. Reva says, Well, this isn't all about me. You know you missed out on alot with Ava. Jeffrey says, ........And you missed out on your whole family. Reva says, Yeah, um........I guess we have alot to make up for. Jeffrey sighs and says, Yeah......I was thinking the same thing. Reva smiles and says, Missed chances........you know, missed opportunities.......? Jeffrey says, .........And moments that we'll never get back again. He gives Olivia a concerned look and he says to Reva, Reva, I might be crazy, but sometimes things are just bigger than us. More important than just you and me. Reva says, I know what you're gonna say. Jeffrey asks, You do? Reva says, Uh, yeah......that a baby can't make up for our past mistakes, you know, yours, mine......It's really, not fair. Jeffrey looks sad now thinking she is saying she doesn't want the baby. She goes on asking, Jeffrey........that is what you were thinking too, right? He gives a sad sigh and says, Uh........it's like we're on the same wavelength. Reva says, So that's it then? Jeffrey says, I guess so. Olivia is giving him a concerned look. Reva says, Okay, so I'll call the doctor back and schedule something for.......later today? Jeffrey says, Uh........I'll be there. Reva says, I mean, it is the right thing. He says, Absolutely. Reva is getting choked up and says, I love you. Jeffrey lets out a sad sigh and says, I love you too. They end their call. Reva looks sad thinking he doesn't want the baby. Jeffrey looks sad too thinking she doesn't want the baby either............Both have misunderstood each other (SAD SCENE! I WISH THEY BOTH WOULD JUST SAY IT, that they BOTH want the baby)

Reva is outside walking down the street. She stops at a store window that has some baby things displayed. They are playing a song her as they show Jeffrey walking in the park. He is looking sad and he stops seeing a father and his son and he smiles at them. He gives them a wistful look......... The song is still playing and now Jeffrey is at the hospital nursery looking through the window at the babies. He's smiling as he looks in at them and Reva comes up and they both give each other a smile as they both look in at the babies...........

Reva and Jeffrey are both still at the nursery and looking at the babies. Reva gives a slight chuckle and says, Look at them..... Jeffrey says, I can't stop looking at them. Reva says, Yeah.....you know, if we didn't know better.... Jeffrey says, Yeah, but we do. Reva looks at him asking, Do we? Jeffrey gives her a serious look. Reva asks with with a crack in her voice, Do you want to have a baby with me?(Awwwww) Jeffrey gives her first a sad look and then says with a little smile, I want you. k? I want you to live to be a hundred so that we can sit in our rockers and watch the loons on the lake. (OMG, so sweet!) Reva says, That's not what I asked. She asks, Do you want to have this baby? Jeffrey kind of just nods his head, yes. Reva is surprised and asks, You do? She says in a louder voice, So do I! Jeffrey asks, You do? Because I thought....Reva says in more shock at his response, No, I thought, that it was gonna tie you down, too much. You know we got married, and then we dodged the cancer bullet, and then Wham......you're a daddy! Jeffrey says, I want to be a......daddy.....I'm just........worried about the risk for you. Reva is smiling and she says, Life.......life is a risk! Crossing the street is a risk. But having a baby makes it all worthwhile. He says, A baby? She is smiling at him and he says, Not A baby, Reva, OUR baby. She asks with a choked up tone, Is that a, Yes? He grabs her face and kisses her sweetly, holding it for a second. They pull back while still holding each other and Reva says in happy tears, I guess that's a yes. They both nod at each other with smiles and he says, You know, I've never done this before, So I'm not gonna be very good at this, you know, I've never done it from scratch anyway, so.......Reva says, I know, but you're looking at a mama, who didn't do it with her own kids, either, so, we're both gonna be starting this from scratch together. She is talking through her tears. They both chuckle at each other and Jeffrey says, Now listen, you are gonna have to listen to what the doctor tells you, I mean it! She says, Oh, I know and you're gonna have to go to every holiday pageant, from the time he's in kindergarten......she's is more tears here and she goes on saying......or she's in college and No excuses! He's smiling and then his face turns serious and says, Reva, there's alot of things that could go wrong, you know? Reva says, I know.......as she gives a glance back at the babies and she says, But one or two things could go right. Jeffrey says, I don't like those odds. Reva says, Yeah well, life is a crapshoot, right? Sometimes you have to roll the hard six. Jeffrey says in confidence, Okay......well I'm in! I'm in for everything! Reva says, So am I! So am I! What The Hell! Jeffrey says with a smile, What The Hell! Reva laughs and she says, Jeffrey.........He says, Yes? Her face is serious and then she says with a smile, Uh.......we're gonna have a baby! He gives her a beaming smile back as she laughs and they pull each other into a blissful hug. Reva is chuckling and they pull back and they smile at each other again and lean their heads together in happiness............(WONDERFUL SCENE!!!!!)
